I ordered this as a birthday gift for a friend obsessed with board games, He loved it!! We had so much fun playing it.
Just received the game today it looks fun and interesting. But the rulebook is not as comprehensive as it should be and I couldn’t find a QnA section on the website to clear some confusions regarding the rules so I’ll ask them here.
Q1. We pay the upkeep for each eligible card at the start of every turn, so do we gain the customers associated to that card at the start of our turn each round too?
Q2. Rulebook says we have to play a card first only then we can hire more waiters, if i play a card and was suppose to gain 2 customers but my customer slots are already full do I loose the customers ? Or i can hire a waiter and gain those customers on the new waiter card? And if I loose the customers are they removed from the customer pool?
Q3. Can I discard a card at the start of my turn without paying the upkeep or I would have to discard the card at the end of my turn so that I won’t have to the upkeep in the next turn?
Q4. what happens when i run out of money and i have to pay a penalty (not upkeep)?

Yes. At the start of each turn, pay upkeep and gain the card’s customers, unless the card says otherwise.
Q2. What if my customer slots are full when I gain customers?
You don’t gain them. They are lost and moved to the discarded customer pool. A newly hired waiter cannot be used until the following round.
Q3. Can I discard an active card instead of paying its upkeep?
Yes. You can discard it at the start of your turn instead of paying its upkeep.
Q4. What if I can’t afford a penalty?
You go bankrupt and are eliminated. Manage your money carefully—you can’t go into negative.

Amazing Game! Was playing with my cousins and they were refusing to leave when their dad came to pick them up until they realised if they kept him waiting too long they wouldn't get to go to the store. Really fun! The art is really distinctive and the cards are funny! Also! Card decks come in ziplocks! Truly a gem for organising.

This game has a card "Snatching at Dhaba" Lol, amazing research and best execution. Havent seen a board game this good made in Pakistan.
